Boy Azooga’s debut album 2018’s, ‘1, 2 Kung Fu’, is piloted by Cardiff’s Davey Newington, a young man steeped in musical heritage. The album is a multi-instrumental pop virtuosity that moves from impressive filmic instrumentals to churning rave-tinged rock that hints at both Can and their progeny in Happy Mondays.
